Consip’s activities refer to three main areas:
- Running the Programme for the Rationalisation of Public Administration Purchases of goods and services, through the use of ICT and innovative tools for Public Administration purchases (contract agreements, Public Administration e-Marketplace, framework agreements, Dynamic Purchasing System, calls for tenders using ASP) –Programme Area;
- Support for individual PAs in all areas throughout the procurement process, also in its role as central purchasing body, based on specific agreements –Vertical PA Procurement Area;
- Carrying out tasks assigned through specific legal provisions and/or administrative acts - Other Projects based on legal/administrative acts Area.
These areas of activity are all distinct, yet tightly integrated, and base their results on the search for innovation and the application of ICT to Public Administration processes and organisation.
